CTET July 2024: Apply Online for Paper I & Paper II Exams
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for July 2024 session has been announced, inviting applications for both Paper I and Paper II exams. CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in central government schools (like Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories. Here are the details:
Paper I Exam:
- Paper I is for candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V (primary stage).
- Eligibility: Candidates must have completed or be appearing in the final year of their Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Alternatively, candidates with a Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) qualification with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education are eligible to apply.
Paper II Exam:
- Paper II is for candidates aspiring to teach classes VI to VIII (elementary stage).
- Eligibility: Candidates must have completed or be appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.Ed).
- Alternatively, candidates with a Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) qualification with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are eligible to apply.
Application Process:
- Eligible candidates can apply for CTET July 2024 through the official website of CTET or CBSE.
- The application form will be available online, and candidates need to fill it carefully with accurate details.
- Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as per the specified dimensions and formats.
- Application fee payment can be made online through various modes such as debit card, credit card, net banking, etc
Exam Pattern:
- Both Paper I and Paper II consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options, out of which candidates have to select the correct answer.
- Each paper comprises 150 questions, and the total duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks to be eligible for the CTET certificate.
CTET certification is valid for a period of seven years from the date of declaration of result. Candidates who qualify in CTET become eligible to apply for teaching positions in central government schools and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories. It is essential to stay updated with the official CTET website for any changes or updates regarding the exam schedule, syllabus, and other related information.
